Course Objectives

Competency Based Interview Skills are a vital competence for all staff who interview for positions. They are critically important in ensuring that you choose the right candidate for the job. They are skills which must be learned and perfected. In the fast paced work environment in which we all now operate it is a core competence for all interviewers to know how to identify the most suitable candidate for a position. Very few of us are born with these skills but fortunately they can be learned.

This programme will provide you with all the skills necessary to be a competent, professional interviewer and also gives you the opportunity to practice the skills in a very safe and supportive environment. Furthermore, this programme will also provide you with the skills to provide feedback to the candidates who were not successful in a very professional way and ensure that the individual understands clearly and specifically why they did not get the position. This ensures that you maintain the relationship with the individual involved.

At the end of the training delegates will be able to:
