INTRODUCTION TO PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Course Summary
This course will introduce the participants to the fundamental frameworks and disciplines associated with successful project management. The participants will be introduced to standard PM terminology and structures, the use and application of Gantt Charts, task sequencing and interdependencies, critical path identification and analysis, and those attending will be expected to develop basic Project plans for simple tasks.
Prerequisites:
Ideally, participants will have some experience of working with project teams.
Attendee profile:
Individuals who want to better understand the tools, techniques, and processes of Project Management New or aspiring project team members who have little or no project experience, and want to enhance their credibility and effectiveness by working on, or with, project teams.
Course Objectives:
Upon completing the course, participants will be equipped to take a full role as a key member of a Project management team and will be familiar with the methodology and administration required to bring a project from initiation to completion.
Delivery:
Lectures and practical worked examples. Particular focus will be put on participants developing and producing their own project plans (hardcopy) for minor projects during the course.
